Refrakt

A more meaningful home for photography

Refrakt is an independent space to share your photography in a way that shows it best. No ads, alogorithms, or attention stealing.

It's a more contemplative online space. You are encouraged to spend your time with intention, form new connections, and be inspired to get out and make photographs.

If Refrakt sounds interesting, you can take a look around.

We don’t like sharing screenshots here since they get outdated quickly. Take a look around instead. You can start from the Discover feed and you don’t even need an account!

Our commitment

Refrakt is independent and self-funded by Sam, a handful of wonderful Patrons, and our Premium members.

We're committed to building the best platform for those who enjoy the art of photography, whether that's photographers themselves, curators, agencies, collectors, or anyone in-between.

Our goal is to create a sustainable business that can support itself, but most importantly, one that can truly support photographers.

Refrakt will never have advertising. It will never sell your data or your attention. Our only customers will be the people who use Refrakt. This model means that we're motivated to build a platform that you truly get value from.

We have a long way to go yet, but we’re confident this is the right thing to do. It’s what photography needs.
